Museum Professional

I hold a Master of Arts degree in Public History with an emphasis in Museum Studies. For the Historic Hope Foundation in Windsor, NC, I curated several exhibits based around artifacts in the collection or themed toward a specific talk or program. I also designed the accompanying materials, wrote press releases, and sent out mailings to area school districts, local historical societies and libraries. I worked as a gallery technician at the Gregg Gallery of Art and Design at North Carolina State University. I helped install exhibits and did minor textile conservation work on items from the collection. I did my Master’s degree project at the Gregg, beginning the process of conserving a collection of textile sample books from the Timme Corporation, a former textile mill in Rhode Island and Wilmington, NC.
