I enjoy being a history educator, particularly handling difficult topics, such as slavery, women’s education, and the history of Jews in Colonial and Federal America. I am active as a regional and state-wide judge for the National History Day competitions for North Carolina. I am interested in building partnerships between State-run and private historic sites and educational institutions through joint programming and mentorship opportunities. I have created Women’s History Month lecture programs, served as a facilitator for various other lecture programs, and presented programs at different conferences and historic sites across the East Coast.
